is that vulcan engineering in hanwell near ealing hospital? i go past there quite alot

yep thats the one! funny thing is i go past it nearly every day on my wau to 6th form and ive only found it 2 days ago! lol and its a very well known shop.

umm i done it myself :D.. after speaking with the guy he could see i was genuinely interested in engines and i suprised him with what i knew - im only 17 lol. so he said i could use his shop to do my own work on my head :thumbsup:

if u want i could get you the number and some guide prices etc. place is called vulcan engineering by the way

and i was thinking about porting the head, but wouldnt this mean i should port the exhaust manifold aswell? as they both look kind of the same to me? or by porting do you mean polishing?


Looks like you've done a nice job, especially for your first time.
It's ok mate i do my own head work, i was just interested how much they charged really out of interest.
Porting is opening up the inlet/exhaust ports, to remove restrictions & improve gas flow. A very polished finish should be avoided on the inlet.
