Melted throttle cable is usually a sign of a poor engine earth.

Naaa, it was the outside that had melted apparently it must of been resting on the manifold, and burnt through, and it has made throttle movemnt really hard!
The earth is brand new!

I think a member of this forum probably Rosslin, went to take a look at her, and the garage was not impressed!
sorry, but nothing todo with me!

The Garage is run by a toffee nose git!
He was very rude and few years ago i would have put his lights out for what and how he spoke to me!
this is a poor advert for British old timer garages, I will be telling all the german speaking forums about Weald Garage.
Liirge did you get up late? I did try to phone you and txt you no answer from you what happenedto you?

good luck. hope you do make it.

where is this weald garage? sounds carp! only one i know of is in sevenoaks area?

i take mine to PK motors, the suzuki garage on the industrial estate. theyre really good and often if theres a little something wrong that can be corrected in a couple of minutes theyll do it free of charge for you, and theyre not even that expensive in the first place. my dad takes his classic there too. theyre really good guys and very trustworthy.

hope you get it sorted soon!

It'd be a bummer if she misses L2B after all that hard work, but at least you can start enjoying driving her >_<. What are the garage dragging their feet over, is it something you can do yourself?

Aye. It's an "if". Matilda has been struck down by the current epidemic of Mpi-no-fuelling-itis. >_<
