Had heard of Forum but had never "googled it" or came across it while surfing until I was looking for original images of a Rover Mini Cooper SPI... wanted to see what colour the front indicators were from the showroom, amber or clear. Found a post where someone has images from a 1993 brochure... ideal!

Hello everyone,

My name is Link. I've been an automotive enthusiast for over 20 years. Mainly with 3rd generation RX-7s. I've been studying classic mini's for over 10 years. Including vtec engine transplants and service manuals. I'm looking to get my first classic mini this year. Hope all goes well.

I learned about this website while doing researching about classic mini security on the web.

Looking forward to learning from everyone.

Cheers,

- Link

Hello,

I'm from Montana, USA, but currently working in Italy.  I have 1983 Austin Rover HLE.  I found this website while searching for technical information.

Sadly sold our Mini (DWL137Y, 1983 Mini HLE in Blue) last year, had it for 17 years, drove to Aberdeen from Oxford in 1998 to get married! Last year we moved house and the Mini had to go as it required full restoration.

We finally got moved and found we had space for a Mini after all! So having bought one, a bit of googling keeps bringing up this site.

When I got my Mini from BMW, they told me to find a good forum located in the UK even though I live in the states.
