I'm an active member of a bike forum with around 5000 posts and they had a mini section, I started speaking to them about a mini to get and they pointed me here. Loved it since.

Hi I'm Laura, and I'm from Tacoma WA. I have a mini classic with no title and want to find out what year it is. It has bypass windows and I have some numbers that don't mean anything when checking the vin.

hi........................

my name is mark and i am making an thread on mini whice i know about mini....................

he Mini is a small economy car made by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considered a British icon of the 1960s. Its space-saving front-wheel drive layout – allowing 80 per cent of the area of the car's floorpanto be used for passengers and luggage – influenced a generation of car makers. The vehicle is in some ways considered the British equivalent of its German contemporary the Volkswagen Beetle, which enjoyed similar popularity in North America. In 1999 the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century, behind the ford

well i am doing a rebuild and needed some info on rear subframes etc. Puzzled over the rear trumpets and rubbers etc.

It all looked good until I went to drive and realized the back wheels were scraping the arches and exhaust was a mere 1.5 inches from dragging on the floor!

needing some new cones? or rubber? should I get adjustable ones as the exhaust is low in any case being a cat type exhaust annoyingly!  :dontgetit: :xxx:

removing the cones from old subframe was a tough job and ended up leaving part of the rubber behind as I now realise. I have now removed the metal part which I assume should be bonded to the rubber, ? can this be rebonded or do I get new rubbers? do new rubbers have the metal bit on them ? I cant see in new pics looking for parts on minisport wether they have the metal cup on them.?

Hi I'm Ruaridh (pronounced Rory) from Scotland.

I just googled mini forum because a mate said forums were really good to get into for information. Even more so that i have very little knowledge about mini's.

I own a 1990 Rover Mini 1000. Had it for 3 years and it's the best first car i could have ever owned.
