Hello there!

I hail from Hertfordshire, and I just bought my first mini at the weekend :)
After having wanted one most of my life, I'm now the proud owner of a '97 Cooper and loving every moment of the past days!

I found the forum thanks to the trusty Google; I'll probably be bugging a lot of people for help and advice over the next few weeks and months, as there are a few bits and bobs to get done to restore her to her full beauty.

Been a member for quite a while but not actually posted much yet. I found the site searching the net for anything to do with minis, i've had my heart set on getting one ever since i was a kid and I've got my test in under a month, fingers crossed I may be a very happy chappy soon.

Hi, I just found your forum after punching a product code number for my distributor into google. I joined hoping to learn more about working on my mini. I am from Australia, my first car was a mini. An old 1976 Clubman that I did up and sold in 1994. My current mini I have had for about 9 years, although it has copper S MkI bages on it but it is a real bitza. It has an 850 floor pan with push button start (1961), an 1,100 shell in Burbundy (1966), all cooper S running gear, Cooper S Mk1 gear box, 1275LS block, Cooper S Mk2 head, twin SU's and cooper S Disc brakes. I love driving it when its going well and have had most of the work done by my loacal mechanic. Now I want to leanr more about working on the car myself. Living in Australia we can go on some really long drives. I am having some trouble with my electronic ignition at the moment so will post something up on the technical page. It will be great to be a part of the mini forum and looking forward to chatting leaning more about all things mini.

My name is Jimmie from Suffolk in England. I owned an 84 mini Mayfair about 8 years ago that basically rusted itself off the road! I now drive a 1971 Mk III that's awesome! It's got its little quirks, but that's life with a classic! I heard about this site from my mate, who owns an 87 Mayfair himself, one that he's doing a good job of straightening up. Glad I signed up for this site!

I stumbled across this site during my current task of looking for a classic mini rolling shell. I have had mini's for all my life and have and can never envisage owning anything else if I am honest. My currrent mini is in need of a re-shell and that is what has brought me here. :)

Hey,

I'm from Stafford. I don't own a Mini at the moment, but have always wanted one and now is the time to get one I feel. There are various Mini owners in the family, with one member having an Italian Job themed wedding complete with Mini shaped cake :P My Uncle pointed me in the direction of this forum, so I could learn more about these gorgeous cars and gather some advice about finding and buying my first Mini. So here I am! Expect lots of (possibly) stupid newbie questions :)
