I'd been toying with the idea of buying an old Mini a few years ago, and then when my wife bought a BMW one, I guess it reignited my desire for the real thing.
We live a few miles down the road from Santa Pod, so when Mini In The Park came up, we HAD to go - what a fantastic day!.
After that, I got the Mini bug and searched on the 'net for forums and clubs - and here I am!
I've just got myself a '91 Cooper Carb, which seemed like a good buy at the time - a bit of a rolling resto, but since then, I've found something else that could be a bit of a nightmare to put right - could be interesting times ahead!

I had a green original small 850cc mini back in the good old days, before the internet existed, we then lived in Spain for a long time, returning to the UK, too much UV is not good for you.
At first I bought a super KA, but I called it my Tesco car, only did 650 miles in 18 months, last week I traded it in for a lovely White Mini One, alway wanted one, now I have a ONE.
Need help on setting the date format, it keeps changing itself from dd/mm/yy to mm/dd/yy HELP PLEASE
