Evening all i'm from Birmingham and drive a rover sprite with an mg metro engine (so i,ve been told). I heard about this place while my car was at the local mini specialist (where it spends most of its time) in Perry Barr, there was a lady there with what I now believe to be a designer mini having her rear window seal replaced, (hello if you ever read this) she told me to get myself on here. I've been reading various posts for a while and thought i'd take the plunge to sign up. If I've done this right you should have a pic???

p.s apologies if I've messed up adding this post.

Hi,I live in Leighton Buzzard, Beds,I have had many Minis over the last 42 years,in various state of repairs, unfortunately many sent to the scrap yard in early days, before wisdom had been gained. My current mini is a 64 morris mk 1 saved from the ravages of time in 2002 .Since IMM ,the car has navigated to Cornwall and back, total of 700 miles with no problems. My mini is not showroom but still original, single brakes, very interesting drive ,The site had been recommended by a few friends from other Mini clubs

Hi,

I'd been toying with the idea of buying an old Mini a few years ago, and then when my wife bought a BMW one, I guess it reignited my desire for the real thing.

We live a few miles down the road from Santa Pod, so when Mini In The Park came up, we HAD to go - what a fantastic day!.

After that, I got the Mini bug and searched on the 'net for forums and clubs - and here I am!

I've just got myself a '91 Cooper Carb, which seemed like a good buy at the time - a bit of a rolling resto, but since then, I've found something else that could be a bit of a nightmare to put right - could be interesting times ahead!

Did a search on MSN and up you popped!.
I had a green original small 850cc mini back in the good old days, before the internet existed, we then lived in Spain for a long time, returning to the UK, too much UV is not good for you.
At first I bought a super KA, but I called it my Tesco car, only did 650 miles in 18 months, last week I traded it in for a lovely White Mini One, alway wanted one, now I have a ONE.
Need help on setting the date format, it keeps changing itself from dd/mm/yy to mm/dd/yy HELP PLEASE
