Hi, my name is Andy,
I'm from Worksop, Nott's, heard about forum via mini mags and did a google for mini advice last year, been into mini's since 1985 when I used to pass a young guys house on way to school, he had a deseamed mini in surf blue, with white 10" weller wheels, that was it, got cheeky and started talking to the guy then helping him out in evenings with other projects, then my interest grew and grew, that was it I wanted my own, one year later my very own rust bucket to play with,(dad nearly killed me) had a few since then, please check my list of mini's owned since then in the newbie section
currently driving the new Mini Clubman but its just not the same, so just bought a '91 mini city (project Elmer) getting him ready for the 50th celebrations next year, hope to see and chat to most you when at shows / meets etc
my only dilema is keep him original with not so nice blue and auto box or upgrade to 1.3 engine and a better blue and go mk1 retro on him (any suggestions welcome)
keep up the good work guys, Andy

Hi there,
A Friend of mine (Spenner) told me that I should get on here & have a chat & see how I get on.
I live in a little village just outside Cricklade, Swindon. I currently Ride more than drive (Honda Hornet motorbike). I have been into Mini's since about 10 & have raced oval circuit grass track racing up until I met my Girlfriend (now wife) & had 2 kids. I now stick to road cars including my wifes Mini (DumbAss) my dads Mini that i finished building last year & now a Red Hot which is now actually Blue & Silver & nicked named Smart Arse.
I enjoy going to shows & weekend away especially the Riviera Run which i have been attending since 1995 we even had our honeymoon there a few years ago.
Hopefully will get to meet more people at shows & chat in person.

Good morning all.

Let me introduce myself
I'm currently on a 12 month Contract for a Dutch bank working and living in Utrecht Netherlands.
I wanted a form of transport to get around whilst here, I asked my wife if I could take our UK car over to Holland, you can guess what the response was.
I started looking for a car here and couldn't find much that I liked, then a friend from work sent me a link for a Mini for sale checkout the link
http://www.autoweek....i...00&cache=no
SO I bought it and have had a smile on my face ever since, especially when driving around.
I'm also amazed how rare they are in Holland, people stop to look at the car, even better people let you out at junctions

I was looking for advice on fitting something a long while back and came across the forum, registered and asked my question. The forgot about it for a year and then came back and have never left!!

My name is Jo and I'm 19 from Langley. I had just started driving my Mini when I registered. Feels like forever ago.

Hi, my name is Nick and I drive an R56 MINI Cooper S. Do you welcome BMW MINI Owners, or shall I leave now?

On the basis that you haven't clicked off already, I suppose I should tell you about myself. My first Mini was a 1967 Mini 850. In those days you only had two choices, an 850 or a 1000, even the radio was an extra. Known in my teen years as my "Passion Wagon" I spent many a happy moment in it on a cold winters evening. Wellington Boots on because it had a leak and when it rained the footwells would fill up. Oh and the heater didn't work so when I picked up a girlfriend a hot water bottle was on hand. Do you think I invented the first heated seats. Of course when the hot water bottle went cold it was a problem, but as the eternal gentleman I offered my services.

Well now I am a 52 year old softy and drive a BMW Mini R56 with every conceivable extra to hand. Although thinking about it, I still don't have heated seats, and my offer to keep my wife of 22 years marriage warm is about as successful as it was in the 70's.

So you know I have a sense of humour. Oh I am also a member of Lincolnshire Mini Club which my son set up around 2 to 3 years ago.
