I found this site via Google and I'm looking forward to being a member here. My local town is Cambridge. I have a 1980 998cc mini, most of the panels need replaceing (stood in a field for 2 years) so I have stripped everything down to the bare bones and the remaining body is now "spit roasted" while I'm working on the panels. I'm thinking about fitting the rear suspension beam from a Pug 205 this will increase the rear track by about 8 cm. My rear sub frame is well past its sell by date. I also plan to fit side exhaust pipes but will at the moment keep the 998 engine.

I've got a 1963 Mini 850, originally Smoke Grey, and not much else. Currently going through a rebuild (been on-going for the past 8 years). We have a 1430 ex-hillclimb motor to go in, though we'll be changing the cam to something mild for the road, plenty of neat peices and tricks from a mate who raced them and sports sedans in the 60's, 70's & 80's

Anyway, i heard about this forum in one of the recent MiniWorld magazines. Being a member of quite a few car forums in Australia, i figured it might be worthwhile joining a big mini Forum.... so here we are.
