because we have members all over the place, tell us where you are from and how did you hear of this mini forum.

and what you drive and anything else you feel fit...

Hi!!
My name is Mario and I'm from Oporto, northern Portugal.
I drive a 1962 Austin Seven 850 1/4 ton van (that's the complete name in the registry docs).
Well, to be honest I don't drive it yet. I bought it in bits and pieces and I just started restoring it.
I will have lots of doubts and I'm sure I'll need help from everybody. Pics and info will be valuable for me in the next months.
So feel free to send me links and pictures related.
Thanks!

Hi im Andy. I heard about this site from a friend that i did the 2007 London To Brighton Mini Run with. Me and my friend met a convoy of mini's at pease pottage service station and found out they were all associated with this website in some way or form. Loved every minute of the run and i want to do it in my own mini in 2008, but i cant find a good mini to buy and do up a little bit so i can say i have done something personal to it. Would love to hear from anyone who can give me help and advice on my situation.

Cheers

Andy Sutton

I'm from Waverly Missouri. At least that's where I live now.
I heard about you from http://www.djminis.com/links.html
Currently I drive a Hyundai Accent, wife has a Ford Taurus, I also own a 1972 VW Karmann Ghia which I'm trying to sell so I can buy my first Mini. So I'm in the market when it comes to owning a Mini.

Hi matt here, found you though blackle .com,

Live down in uckfield,no mini at the moment just looking to buy.Had a white woody mini and three vans in the past.

Drive a series one ford Rs turbo at the moment(well it sits in the garage after spending 9k restoring it, minis are not alone in the rust department)

Also ride a Ducati 916(when the suns out)a BMW Gs1150 for commuting on and a Yamaha R1 for track days.

Just sold my VW Corrado G60 so looking for a mini, what to spend about £1000.

Will let you know what I buy and post some photos.

Cheers Matt

Hi all,

I'm Simon from West Yorkshire, I drive lightly modified a 94 Spi with an ill gearbox and after a good old Google search came across Guessworks' rather excellent gearbox rebuild how-to.

I'm also co-maintainer of the Internet Mini Encyclopaedia (when time allows) and this year did my first North Devon Mini Register Lands End to John O'Groats run - more info here - although this Nurburgring trip intrigues me...

I love the IME!

Cool, glad you like it - though it could do with some updates... I have about 60 more articles to go on it
