I'm Mark F. I am a pretty grumpy, opinionated Northerner, I have been involved in minis for nearly 30 years, and without wanting to sound a right smart alec I have tried most things at least once.
I am exclusivley interested in pre 1970 minis and over the last god knows how many years built or restored a huge variety of these. Nowadays I am more interested in the resurection of old bits of tuning kit than rolling around under cars in freezing garages. Amongst some of the projects I have completed are a fully restored 1152 roadgoing 1961 Speedwell car, a Shorrock Supercharged Traveller, Various Coopers & S's, Alexander 7 ports and works type 8 ports.
As far as I know, I am one of the few people in the country who has all the tools to strip and rebuild Shorrock blowers, I have done too many of these to count.
I currently own a MK1 moke, that is used as a sort of mobile test bed, its so much easier to swap top ends on a Moke, a totally Mint 1961 850 with a stage 1 Downton kit on and my 1960 lightweight racer based on a lovely early shell that is about as mint as you will ever find, of & my 1070 'S' that has been with me for 26 years and is finally in need of some love and attention.
Thats about it really,
Oh, I found this site via a web tracker on my site

Searched on Google for a forum and this is what i found. Bought a Cooper expecting to have it back on the road within weeks (April 06!), and she's currently up on axle stands waiting for new panels, bare metal re-spray, 13 x 7's and some group 5 arches.
I'll keep you posted!
Cheers, Rob.
