I found the site eventually after many many searches for information regarding my nightmare cltuch change and associated problems.....
.....i just wish i had found the site sooner, spent a lot of time on other forums waiting a day or two for lacklustre replys etc.....
.....maybe we need some more meta tags/links to website to feature higher up the search rankings!!

First I just want to say fab site, been looking around and I think the whole Mini owner community is something else.
by the way Im Andy and Im from Wolverhampton.
Unfortunately in my case I have the Mini disease. This is not a bad thing but Im afraid Ive had bad luck with cars. My first car was a Peugeot 106, until one day Mr cambelt decided to snap and thus valve holed piston which would cost more than I paid more than car, so car inevitably went to scrap yard (horrible experience).
Ive just about started to think about getting another car, and after having a ride in and driving my mates Mini, Ive been bitten with the bug. Ive become completely Mini Mad. Everyone Mini I see, It just makes me smile inside. The thing that got me was whilst I was driving my mates, another Mini went by and flashed and waved. (Incredible) I also like the cars themselves, they are quite reliable so long as you look after them well so Ive herd.
Anyway enough chitchat, Ive been to an old car show and looked at Minis all day and I am now firmly settled on buying a Mini.
I have some questions though, firstly the Mini I am primarily after is a Checkmate ltd edition model, either the flame red, racing green or black one. I just like this model, i like the cooper interior, but its still a 998 and that suits me being a young lad with only a button in my walet. I also like the Mini 30.
Now I know im going on and thanks for bearing with me (those who have!lol) I am going to have about 1400 to spend on one. A good friend of mine deals in them and reassures me I can get a good Mini with that amount of money.
Can I ask why do I go onto sites like ebay and see people trying to jump on the Mini - Its getting extinct bandwagen and are flogging their Minis which are complete old banger rust buckets for just short of a 1000. I mean I love Minis more than anyone but thats just ridiculous, its a Mini for crying out loud. Why do people sell them for that and more importantly why do idiots pay these prices?
Finally, Could you tell me more about the checkmate, I really like those cars and also could you tell me what my best bet is for finding a good one and any tips from experienced buyers about how to avoid the rip-off merchants like on ebay who think a rustbucket is worth a grand.
I dont know if any of you have ever felt this but I just feel as though im never going to get the one I want. People keep saying "oh theyre getting really really rare, and it upsets me. Also when I see other people zooming around in them on a sunny evening i envy them and think how lucky they are.
Please help me Im longing a Mini, I cant wait till the day when the one I want, Is mine and I will look after it like its a baby or something I love them.
Thanks Guys for leting me on your fantasatic site.
I know i sound a bit crazy but its just how I feel Im Mini Mad, its just something about those little cars, theyre more than just any typical car, they have an indescribable personality that once it grabs you youre hooked!!Amazing!!

I'm actually a Mod on the BMC forum and have been on there since it was started up a couple of years back. Alot of the members on there are also members on here and I've heard nothing but good recommendations.

Then spied the website details on "Tuning the Mini" feature in CLASSIC CAR WEEKLY 22/06/06 edition. Reckoned I'd give it a try - can't be any worse than some of the other sites that purport to be mini-orientated. Believe it or not, there are several which will not tolerate input from professional sources!
