Poor Tommy,

Looks like he's taken up with a girly who don't do head :teehee:

Jeepers, Eff! That's an all-time low for you!

another way to look at it juju is the additional cost of additive on top of the offensive large cost of petrol ^_^

Nah, that's not the issue. Tis the originality of the car that's the issue.... :dontgetit:

Nope. For once.

Or a hybrid of vaseline & oscillate, or ocelot......mmmmm.....greasy pussycat....

Anyhoo, back to the topic. I think I'll stick with the valvemaster for now & see how it goes. ;)

Hey Juuuuuujuuuuuu!

Just to add to the leaded/unleaded thing...

Reggie's still got a leaded head and it really doesn't involve much faffing about at the petrol station. It's an extra 30 seconds on top, if that.

I don't think you'll have a problem at all, keeping him leaded... If you're not doing that many miles in him, then you're not going to get through that much additive, so it's not gonna be too costly.

I go through a fair bit of the stuff, as Reggie's my daily workhorse... and in a geeky way, the additive makes it more quirky and fun to go get petrol =]

Yarrrss. Tis all part of the owning & driving a classic car experience, is it not? Do you stick super-duper unleaded in or the lower octane stuff? ^_^

I just buy the normal unleaded, not the pricey stuff..

The Valvemaster (and Redex, which I had to buy the other day) has an octane boost in it, anyway

Got him back to Surrey, courtesy of Uncle Mike :ermm: at Wood & Pickett.

Posted Image

Had a quick check over & everyfing is there. Both sets of keys still on their unipart leather fobs, original jack & wheel brace. He's actually in better condition than I remember him from a fortnight ago.

Random pic...

I don't think the grille is repairable, so that's on the shopping list now.

The nudge bars are Wood & Pickett  and they would have been fitted during the period in which the current W&P Director was work for British Leyland  .........oooh the circle of life is a curious fellow indeed.....

Here's how far the little chap has travelled in his 29 years on this planet.

Right, I'm off to go and collect his new shoes.
I just got some new denovo wheel trims from ebay too, but I could hear the crunching of his tyres as we pushed him around today....
