Go for it! There was a black GT with gold minilites near where I used to live and it looked fantastic.I think I may have found some everyday-runaround shoes for Tommy, while his steelies are being refurbed & kept for special days.

I didn't realise it was still possible to find unmolested cars like this nowadays - congrats!

Excuse my ignorance.... until recently, i didn't recognise Blunt Fronts as real mini's and therfore don't know much about em... but didn't gt's have twin carbs?
Nope.
**waits to be told that actually a few did as they were using old stocks of parts, producing different specs for different countries etc..**

Well done for finding him and the patience that it takes to wait for a gem especially when you have been looking at some shockers!!
Good on you. IMO Keep him standard and watch him appreciate in value, Don't bin the Denovo's, run him on something else and save them.

The idea is to get him back to how he was in 1979 when he rolled off the line.
Hi..!..Juju that sure is a thing of beauty a nice orignal 1275GT and I might know of a set of donovos they have been off my friends GT for 20 years and I think there still in good nick ............................
Yes please!! There's a set on ebay at the mo as well, I might start collecting them & refurbishing them . Now, that would really please the other half.....
I want to run him on some boring alloys & use the denovos for special days. (Thank you Ethel for that tip... )
