Although it is now at he stage of having to find all the little clubman specific parts that are NLA, like the grommets for the slots the grille sits in! Hopefully they kept the originals?

Actually, I found a tin full of grommets in the cellar on tuesday. Not sure which car they're from.
Relocating the parts has been a bit of a mission. Engine ancilliaries (starter, alternator etc) were missing for quite a while. Now all found again, but seized to buggeration, so need replacing anyway.
The parts bill just gets longerer & longerer.
malcs_miniturbo - cheers, geezer. One lil detail I'm v proud of Simon for is replacing the outer cover of the new wiper motor with the original one, so all the serial nos & date stamps are original. Brill idea:

2nd hand grille has come up lovely with a bit of spit 'n' polish:
Airbox is looking fab too. Lil bit of grinding, spraying & a foamy-fiddle by Simon, and I managed to find a new lid with intact period decals.
Exhaust is on & brand new fuel tank is in, but it has dents. Not happy about this, so may send it back.
Carpet & cards in. Back seat looks new after a scrub by Luke! Front seats have just come back from professional cleaners - no pic yet.
Glass is now in too - apart from the doors...as I'm still waiting on hinges. Managed to find 2nd hand rear screen (broke the tabs on Tommy's... )
Upper & lower dashrail covers salvaged & bodged from original parts. Don't look too closely underneath & they're just smashing.
Battery in now too. Mmmmmmm.....Lucas.....
Hoses & pipes all connected up & his face is starting to come back together.
We decided against rechroming the shinies in the end. The overiders are just fab after a proper clean up, and yesterday I showed the rear bumper a bit of elbow grease & it's now ready to go on, when the boot hinges arrive. The front's chrome is a leetle tired & really needs rechroming, which will take time & money, ...
Running out of jobs for Juju to do. Need to source a new front bumper & a refurbed carb, and let the professionals get him running again.
Soon....sooon....SOON....there shall be brrrms!

I bought a new tank and was amazed at the number of scratches on it. If it's dented I'd send it back, why compromise at this point?

malcs_miniturbo - I may be able to help you out with a front bumper - where are you located?
Front seats are now clean & dry & bolted in. Had a good sit & play drivin'. So did Mr Juju. Made all the noises too. There's so much room compared to the Mpi! Tried to refurb the seatbelts, but gave up & fitted new. Don't want to risk a safety device.
Starting to get butterflies about the first drive!
Vents & air intakes on their way.
Still not sure about the gold minators, but they'll do while I think about how to refurb denovos. Bought the BL roundels from ebay, just to break up the gold a bit. They're a bit crappy, but only a couple of quid.
There must be a way to do them?
3 sleeps 'til MOT.
5 sleeps to his first show.
It's been a FIVE year project, so why do we still do everything last minute?!
Still to do:
Find a carba-tooter
Paint & fit horn
Fit dash panels & clocks (already connected)
Fit fuel tank
Find an engine breather (!)
Fit door cards, furniture & door windows.
Swap steering wheel for smarter one.
Fit bonnet & boot lid.
Start the bugger up for the first time.
(Put some air in the tyres.... )
And lots of other stuff I have forgotten.
