Been catching up on Projects which I was following about 4 yrs ago when I was last on Tmf........I remember this and it's looking grand - glad to see a full stripdown & repaint has happened!
But a year with no project update..... Is the 1275gt alive and well JuJu??

So sorry about not updating sooner. Can't believe a year's gone by.
As with all things, nothing quite goes according to plan. Life has taken many different turns, but Tommy's rebuild now has a new Project Manager (the lovely Simon Carter at W&P - he's my new 'boyfriend', whether he likes it or not...). I clean up parts wherever & whenever I can, and he plonks them back on the car & does all the tricky bits.
New wiring loom is in.
New headling, too.
New rear subframe. Front is being powdercoated, along with all the brackets & ting.
Trying to find all the parts that are scattered over different parts of the county is tricky after such a long time, but I think we have everything. I think, Maybe.
Beergox all done.
Engine too. All bored out & spotless.
So, the project's moving again & is now gaining momentum. I just need to keep earning to keep it all going! We will get there by the end of Summer. If we have a Summer.
I'm now looking at doorcards....

It'll be well spangly for a while, anyway. Concourse for first season, then he'll get used properly as a proper car... Or that's the plan, anyway, and plans have a habit of not going according to...er...plan.

Tell me about it....I seem to have lost a whole 5 years from my planned project (I re-read through my thread this morning and I got to 2008 then vanished off the face of the earth. I think life got in the way!)
Love, love, love this rebuild - it's gonna be an absolute minter!
Glad to see you're still working on it!

Thanks chaps. He'll be a family heirloom at this rate.
Spent the weekend cleaning up rear light clusters. I think I can get away with the old ones with a bit more elbow grease - they just need new seals.
All his brackets & doodahs have come back from the powder coaters.
This morning I ordered his replacement decals & unipart stickers. It all seems a little close, now, even though he's still in bits.

Well we went a year with no update, so I will now begin to spam this thread...
Another expensive day today. Newton Commercial are now the proud owners of June's pay packet & Tommy will soon be in receipt of a new carpet, door cards, dash lining & assorted trim.
Getting closer....
