Yes I am sure you can do it it is not too hard at all.
In terms of tools you will need:
Valve spring compressor
Valve lapping tool and lapping paste
Valve seat cutter (only if the valve seats are badly pitted)

#1 rule - Always make sure that the removed valve returns to the same valve guide or location.
Give me a shout if you have any questions

Ta.

UPDATE:

This has not moved on since my last post.
I am giving serious though to selling this project.
I've located all the panels required (genuine Leyland), so the car is essentially complete, just in bits & spread across Surrey.

Would anybody be interested? (I've no idea about price... >_< )

Juju, Ive read this project twice over now, with all the hard work that you've put in, with all the hunting of parts and cleaning, i think that it would be a huge loss to sell this beautiful project as you've done so much already. i know it can be daunting to have a project on the go. Mines stating to come to the end.. just hang in there i know that when you beatuiful car is finished he will make you so proud! I'll admit that ive had many a thought of selling my mini (just ask Roo). But do think about keeping it, even if its just to drive it once fully rebuilt

You better damn not sell it!
As said above it'll have been waste of time if you sell up now. It's a cracking looking GT and wants you to restore him!
If you sell, you'll only wish later on that you'd have kept it and cracked on. It'll be a great summer car if you can get it sorted in a few months!

Thanks for the encouragement guys, but situations change & life has to adapt.
I'm not sure I can afford a full rebuild now.

Mine did last year which is why I sold Evelyn and then as things changed again less than a year later, I really kicked myself for selling her

I'm not sure I can afford a full rebuild now. :o

You don't have to do it now! Keep it stored, it won't get any worse... or do it gradually

Thanks Chris. You are a darling.

It's kind of hard to see the wood for the trees at the moment. I suppose if the worse comes to the worst I could go to the Big Yellow Storage people for a couple of years. That would be far preferable that to sell him to some young twunt who would just mod the hell out of him. That would make me cry.

See, your heart is in it because you want to keep him original and make him all shiny :o

The reason you're thinking of selling isn't to do with the current epic fail of the economy by any chance is it?

My circumstances have just changed drastically too, BUT I will not let this distract me from Dominic because I'm not prepared to lose my beloved Mini again, so you shouldnt be either ;)

We don't OWN clubmans!

They're GT's that happen to have Clubman fronts.

I will preach this till I die.

But if I'm ok to register my non-clubman on the clubman forum then I might do :D

(sorry to hijack ;))
