Hi All,

Picked up my mini today - Austin Mini City E

Its a 1988, with the 32 000 miles on it.

All MOT's to prove the original milege, just small patches of rust here and there needs a couple of panels replace.

Will post up a couple of pictures tomorrow!

Been having fun in it driving around!

First job is solid sub-frame mounts, with new adjustable suspension, wheels and brakes.

Cheers

Jon

Let me know what you think?

looks very clean, it's funny though, i don't think i've seen one of those, or an oyster beige one rust as bad as the rest, must be something in the paint

No - the rust is really very minimal.

Took it to a friend of mine tonight who used to be a panel beater.

He is going to give me a hand sorting out the body before paint, just the door skin and a panel to replace.

Can't wait!

Thanks

Jon

Hi All,

I stripped out the interior today - took me about an hour! Came out very quickly!

Hears a couple of pics of the empty interior!

One thing, how do I remove the headlining?

Thanks

Jon

First job is sort out the body work - couple of dents, and small patches of rust.

Got a new door skin and a panel fo drivers side.

Going to get it resprayed Tahiti Blue, with white racing stripes.

Getting 12" x 6" minilite, spax asjustable suspension, and 4 pot discs on the front with vented drums on the back.

After that all new bright work etc to finish of the outside with Group 5 Arches.

Then it is on to the interior.

The big day will be the engine - new 1360cc lump, hopefully with around 100bhp!

What do you reacon, any ideas?

Thanks

Jon

Been stripping the mini out tonight with a friend from work, took off the two doors and A panel.

Going to need new door skins, drivers side a panel, and the drivers side sill needs sorting - would appreciate you taking a look and making a couple of suggestions what to do. Either patch it, or weld in new sill??

Let me know what you think!

Thanks

Jon
