Thank's for ur reply & going to the trouble of taking & loading pics.{have a mig welder not unlike urs,not had it for long though...& definately not able to use it like u do,takes a fair bit of practice i expect? Now i know what type of compressor & gun to get ...when more practice will be required!! Its not ur first time to either weld or spray! Coincidentely I work for ESB on the other side of the water.
Yes, it takes a little bit of practice to get the welding right, used to do quite a bit a few years ago but don't do it very often these days, I suppose it's like riding a bike, once you've learned you don't really forget.
Good luck with your project!!

@Inca-Sprint, If you look very closely at my avatar pic you'll see your project parked up 3 years ago!
Sorry for the lack of updates folks, on with moving house again so the Mini's on hold again!!

Had the rear brakes in bits and fitted a new rear cylinder as one was leaking.
Got rid of about 2 miles of unwanted wiring from old spotlights and just a bad attempt at wiring a radio up.
Got all the lights to sort out now then it's just about ready for the MOT and then the VIC test after that.

looking sweet, i need to get myself one of those welders only got arc atm not the job for a car ahha, i also have one of the compressor spray guns not sure id want to trust it though. seems to be working well for you. have you had alot of expirience in spraying?
Hi Jonny, not had a great deal of experience in spray painting, my tip is to get plenty of paint on so you can always rub it down to get a good finish.
Had another couple of hours chasing wiring faults today, have now got electric to all lights. Had to remove walnut dash again to get access to the four inline fuses under the dashboard. One had a blown fuse and another had melted due to a wrong fuse fitted.
getting there slowly. Will try and get some updated photos uploaded.

Got the rear window fitted, cut off the old sill and door step and welded in new ones. Got most of the wiring sorted, now has remote central locking which it had fitted previously but never connected up.
Still got the front end to rub down and buff up, done the rear and am really pleased with the results.
