I want to remove the whole metal skirt below the indicators on my 1275GT since its compltely dented in all directions and looks simply pathetic. Is this okay or will my car fall apart?

Here's a pic: (the part that is obviously highlited :))

I know that the subframe mounts there and the tie bars, but I'd leave that, I just want to cut off the front metal if you get me

Bit dodgey that mate. If you do it, you're best to get brace bars like the ones used on removable front minis, else your s/frame will move about all over the place...

I dont see why, since where the subframe mounts is completely irrelevant to what I want to cut! I'll give it a chop on my other mini and see what happens!

Yes but mine is completely dented and deformed. It looks horrible.

Thanks for that pic, is it possible to see whether its a flip front or whether the sub is still somehow mounted to the front panel?

it isnt a flip front, hes put a VTEC in it and has had to put a metro gti front subframe in. the subframes bigger so thats why hes had to cut the valance away. the picture below shows how hes fixed the metro subframe :saywhat: (sort of). hope it helps :)
