Bit of progress with mine too. Have the old 1275 unit out and the All Speed subframe is here now. And i colllected my calibra this week. Having to use it to get around for a few days as in between cars with work etc so over next few weeks will take it off road and begin to strip it.

What have you done with brake master cyclinder? I know u can't use standard master on red top 16v convertion but will it fit with 8valve???

dont think you can mate. i have used a wilwood marter cyclinder on a modafied mini pedal box with the cyclinder on the inside of the car.
progress for me is a bit slow i have de-seemed the front also made the arches a bit bigger so my wheels wont catch. the car is also go to go for paint after the new year,so there will not be that many updats ;D

Cool. My dad doing the project with me and he a genius at fabricating and addapting, He has the idea of putting the master cyclinders on the passengers side. some simular system to what a lot of citroens and peugoets use. But i guess there a lot of stuff to work out once we get into it. The target is to have it ready to drive to the MITP 50.
Better get cracking.

i have just been looking through your build its fantastic well done just had one question about the exhaust flanges that you had made were they ordinary steel or something special for manifolds i am thinking of making my own and i am not sure if it needs to be any kind of special metal

thanks
