The engine that was in it was only a 998 or even an 850 by looks of it. this he was just saying he planed to put a 1275 in but then went with 2.0 8valve unit....

plans have changed with the coulor of the car thinking of doing it old english white with a carbon roof, arches, bumpers and mirrors. the cars coming a long just wish it would stop raining lol. heat rapped the exhaust fitted the rad (corsa) had to bend it a bit like seems to be ok also had to cut the lugs off the front of the gear box to get it to fit. also got some bonnet/boot catches. still found no one to pain her! :)

Seems like an interesting place to mount the rad. How much clearance do you have behind it (to the wheel)?

How you work out exact lenth they to be man? I've got myself a decent calibra donor now and gonna order frame from allspeed monday. anything ele you recommend getting off them? was gonna get brace bars and the bulkhead box for the gearchange. but my brothers mate owns engineering company so he doing shafts for me just need to give him exact length.

My mate had some allspeed ones and the length of them was 11 1/4" and 13 3/4" inchs long. you will need the gear stick and linkage air flow meter also the intermediate shaft. there will be lots of other things because every ones build is different i.e custom parts its just trial and error realy good luck tho mate.

Cheers mate. looking forward to getting started now. I'm sure i'll be on here asking for advise off people like you. I'm wanting to get started at xmas and want to get it done in time for a couple of local runs in the summer and then the run over for mitp 50. Driven over to it before in standard mini- been to the last 2 years there and want to go in something a bit different for the 50.

Looking good!

When you made your exhaust where did you get the flanges (he he) from to mount the pipes to?

Cheers
