what alternator did you use? are you gonna be buying the billet driveshafts from allspeed too or making your own up? good project, subscribed.

hi mate a used a fiat cinquecento alt worked out quite well. no i am having some drive shafts made. aint got that kind of cash for them bit pricey like.

yup i nearly blew chunks when i seen the price of em! ill be doing the same. is the fiat alt the smallest most capable one you could find?

getting there slowly got my dash fitted, i think i am going to use one of those ace digital dashes. when i get some cash sorted. battery cable fitted made a start on the front end the other day (standared length, steel) had to cut a s**t load off like even a part off the gear box . going to make a start on the exhaust manifold next week. some pics

coming along slow pedel box 90% done just needs some slight adjustment. finished the exhaust manifold last week very very tight lol but it fits.front end seems to be a big pain in the arse! a will get there with it. need to make a bluge on the bonnet where the hole is. also got a quote for a paint job £1000 pluse parts. dont know if thats to expensive. what you think lads. heres some pics any way.

get another bonent and just raise the bonnet up at the back.

Hi Mate. Finding your project a great read. Planning on doing same transplant shortly myself.

Couple of things that i'm wondering about that you might be able to help with.

Are you keeping the Vauxhall Injection system and ecu and if so was it a big job moving all that across and wiring up?

Are you using the all speed pedal box or have you adapted the mini pedal to suit the cable off the vauxhall?

What radiator do you plan to use?


Really looking forward to getting started on my car. Going to spain for a week so when i get back it'll be top of list.

hi gareth thanks.yeah a am keeping the Vauxhall Injection system and ecu. wiring the engine up was quite strate forward because all the plugs just plug in had to alter it for the alt and starter. i moderfied the standered mini pedal box but if i was going to do it again i would just buy one from allspeed. dont know what radiator i am going to use yet just need to find one that fis in what little space i have left lol.

any way been round to all the body shops round my way bout 10 seems that only one is intrested and he whants £1000 pluse parts does that sound to expensive? just put a order in for my digital dash from ace well. just need to get the thing in paint....
