OK, so I tried to use the search feature, but it is increasingly becoming less useful.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any info on roller painting? Is it possible to get a nice smooth finish with roller paintin? Also, what paint is usually used?

check the picture in this topic of my roller painted mini: http://www.theminifo...showtopic=69956
There is still a bit of white shade on this from the kleener, but trust me, it shines!

The mini was first sandblasted and covered in an epoxy-primer. Then I applied the system of IJssel coatings (www.doublecoat.nl). They can make any color you desire, from color number or you can send a sample.

This system is especially made for boats, so if it protects these from rusting, it must be perfect for Minis.

You will have to apply two or three layers of another primer, these are really a pain, and you will need to sand it smooth.
Applying the double coat (polyester 2-pack) is wonderful. Within minutes it completely flattens out. You will need to apply 4-5 layers, depending to the color.

Cheers,
Wouter
