Hey,

as new bucket seats are almost always too wide for Mini, I had an idea of getting some old-skool type bucket seats which could be used with 4-point harnesses. Please post some pics of them and give me some ideas to work on.. thanks :)

Wow =) Those would be cool, just need to add the head rest though. Looks a bit rare to me... Any idea of the maker and model?

This is one of my favourites made for the Mini

I think it is called 'The Newton Commercial Classic 2000 Bucket Seat'

Guennie: Those look good. Do those provide good support on tight corners and on track?

Minimender: Yep, you're right about those. Looking really sweet. I just checked the price on Newton website.. 329£ each.. ouch :)

yeah, i find them really supportive, and everyone thats sat in them has commented on their supportiveness too. nice and comfortable on long journeys too. went to the nurburgring last summer and they were more than comfortable on the drive down and great whilst on the ring.

Seems to be that the Cobra Classics will be my next seats unless I find some bargain before summer :) Are there any other models that might be used except the ones you posted?

J.T.F. were selling off bucket seats at 60 quid a pair just before xmas and they weren't that bad if you are on a budget. you would have to measure them though.

These are Cobra Clubman fast Road seats for Mini.

Mini Speed also do reasonably priced fast road seats.

I think that it's better for me pass the deals in UK as shipping few seats would cost a fortune (unless I find a real bargain). I do believe that I can get those cobra classics from Finnish shops also. Another thing is that if I can find some decent bucket seat frames I can get those tailored to look like some old classic type seats. that's why I'm collecting some ideas :)
