Hey I'm changing my mini to Mk1 bonnet and grill and I can't decide whether or not to use bonnet straps so has anyone got any pics of there mini with bonnet straps on?

My min had one strap,

But I do have a pair of real leather full lenth bonnet straps, brand new - not sure if I want to fit them to the Van or not....

iv got mk1 grille and bonnet, i put mine with the lower fixing under the grille moustache as i prefer it that way,, alternatively it can be put over the grille like one bungle has shown..
the close up picture shows it going under the moustache

I reckon the way insamoufonyx has them mounted is the best way with a mk1 grill. Keeps it looking neat and tidy

Go people still have the bonnet catch with the straps? Just can't see the point in me transfering the spring part over to my new bonnet if there is no need.
