Nice combination of parts used.  Looks like you got what you wanted and according to your personal taste, just how it should be.

it came out exactly how I wanted. Was going for a retro-mod look. The old smiths gauges just belong in the mini. and the hole-board will be used as a modular carrying system for my phone (gonna 3d print a piece to fit in the holes), to carry my speaker (as seen) etc.

Got any other 3d printing mini things? I've got a printer and was hoping to find the switch plate to print. And maybe a steering drop bracket.

nah not atm. I wouldnt print a drop bracket as that needs to withstand some forces...wouldnt be cool breaking during a turn :/

Mine currently...

That's just phenomenal, made even better by the patterned fabric.

A couple of questions if I might;

1) Is the light over the steering wheel a shift light or does it serve another purpose?

2) Did you have to make a new face plate to overlay the existing gauge holes to the left and right of the Speedometer?

Thanks!

Interesting heater too.  What's going on there?

Cheer's, Yeah i'm very pleased with how the dash liners come out, brightens up the interior quite a lot.

1. The light is an oil light and indicator light as you can't see the ones on the speedo very easily and would leave my indicators on for ages :lol:.

2. The speedo housing/binnacle I made fully my self from fibreglass using the original oval one as part of a mould and used the same mounting holes as the oval one. It's quite a tight squeeze in behind it with the wiring etc. It's sprayed with wrinkle finish paint and then the trim round the edge is half round brass that I've drilled and tapped M2.5 bent to the shape of the binnacle, polished and then tin nickel plated.

Mine currently.

Haha, It's a single speed SPI heater converted to twin speed. Original slider mechanism removed and with quite a bit of trial and error made to move vertically, made my own front panel from aluminium and wrinkle finish painted it, then had the text CNC milled into it.

Got it, thank you. Very cool use of the light to help with indicators and that makes so much sense how you approached the binnacle. I was puzzled trying to sort out how you dealt with the existing holes.
