Hello Folks,
Contemplating replicating a works style dash, was wondering if anyone had some detailed pictures.
Cheers.

Never posted mine all fitted up! So a rundown of what it has....
Somerford Minis real carbon dash (not carbon vinyl which is the work of the devil)
MPi magnolia gauges (On the lookout for John cooper versions but they get mega coin on eBay sadly)
Smiths 52mm magnolia gauges (clock, voltmeter and oil pressure)
10cm Pioneer component speakers (mounted behind the vent holes)
Chrome rings in the vent holes (same as for main gauges)
Speaker grille mesh cut down to fit vent holes and resprayed satin black rather than gloss for a classier, subtle look
Alpine headunit with rear connection for iPod/iPhone playback/charging.
All in all about £500 in this dash now I add it all up.... But I think its more than worth it But I would, wouldn't I?
Blue tape was to protect it on installation :)

Not distracting when driving along either :)

Where did you get the steering wheel and boss from mate? Looking for something similar myself

Cant remember, I had the boss which is standard Momo/OMP/Mountney PCD already and bought the wheel from Demon Tweeks maybe? DONT buy cheap crap replicas from eBay unless you like your skull being impaled with sheared metal.

Nothing new really but a vast improvement on the faded wooden thing.

Good afternoon TMF,
Here is a bit of information regarding our standard range of dashboards...
The range includes various designs for both metal top dash rail and padded top dash rail set ups, with centre 1 clock, centre 3 clock, offset 2 clock or offset 3 clock binnacle options - all trimmed in vinyl leatherette.
Regards,
Andy @ Optimise Automotive

What wood did you use? Trying to make one with plywood, but when sanding between varnishes the previous varnish layer came off; have tried to take back to bare wood but it looks a complete mess now as there are some areas the varnish will not come off.
