how does the oil check one work?? is it just like a low oil light type thing??

I don't think its even that advanced....works on a suction/vaccuum system..

...easier to just check the dipstick I think!!

Heres mine, not quite finished, need air vents and I have a smiths coloured vacuum gauge and ammeter to go in, need to drill the holes. I would love one of those "fasten seat belts" gauges!

The stopwatches were my Grandads, both from his rally Cooper S that he drove in the 60's, found them while helping him to tidy his house a few months ago and I installed them on the dash :) The map light I found at an auto jumble last weekend, at the Malvern Triumph show, only paid £8 for it! Fantastic autojumble it was too, wish the Mini show ones were as big.

Edit - the stopwatches are both from the Smiths "shockproof" range, to aid you in getting the right ones :)

This is my attempt at a minimalist dash, still a far way to go to complete it though 😔
Still undesided on the switch location and how to cover all the wires?

Miniman

How have you done that to your dash pads - they are perfect.

There is a Fasten seatbelt gauge on eBay right now:

Hi,

I didn't realize there were a special topic for dashboards. I first posted in interiors

Here are a few pics of my van's dashboardI designed the parts on 3d, and machined them in aluminium. All the rest is hand made, such as the steering column, and carpet set.

Absolute work of art that dash and column. Obviously many hours of design, planning and work gone into it. A triumph!

Thank you.

I started this during the winter. At the beginning, I just had the idea for the instrument panel, but after I got the first part finished, I saw it wasn't enough. So I continued on the switch panel, and move all the electrics from the column.

I'm working on two last parts, a center cap for the steering wheel, and a shifter bezel.
