Anyone know what size the speakers are in this dash? I didn't think it would be possible to put 6" or 6.5" in a standard size dash, but these look bigger than 5.25" to my eyes.

Bloody hell eagle eyes! Never noticed that one before, maybe they did put TF wheels on the later exports, but all the sport 500's, late coopers etc I've seen have the horizontal spokes. Loads of them around mind, just keep looking.
I had a chat with Torres, it is infact an MGTF wheel. With this info to hand I hit the bay and bought this
ps the steptronic switches dont work with a mini gearbox
Could I just ask what type of dash this is and where from?
Thanks.

Mine all fitted up
How did you secure your pod's in, been looking at mine and not sure of the best way?

It's a standard Rover Mini MPi dash, this is a Cooper Sport/500 standard dash. Try ebay, Minispares, Minisport, Somerford Minis, all the usual Mini suppliers or even at Mini shows etc
EDIT: By the looks of the turned Alluminium, I'd say it's a John Cooper Garages Cooper Sport. Still a standard type Rover dashboard none the less, hope that helps

Thanks minimaxie.
I'm guessing this may have been covered all ready - could someone tell me the best spray paint to paint over wood dash?
I'll be sanding it down a little first, then a primer (is there a certain type I should be using?)
Thanks.

Standard set up in my car just before it went away to be restored - hoping to put a period W&P / Rokee style wooden dash in it when it comes back in a few weeks time. The car is being resprayed a different colour (very dark blue, dark burgundy or possibly black) so all the exposed metal inside will be different when it's all done... I like dark, cosy interiors... seats are Newton Commercial replica 'factory recliners' fitted by the previous owner... dead comfy
Also hoping to put a cd player beneath the period radio with a homemade cover on the front to hide it...
