My Cooper has a Walnut dash in it at the moment, but I don't like it. So I'm going to make a template of it and make my own carbon one! :D I'll post when it's done.


3M make something called di-noc which is really convincing faux carbon (and other finishes), comes in a range of coulours too, would be easier to recover than make anew one, also you can buy off the shelf carbon dashes from minispares andwood and pickett, though they're pricey.

where'd you get your gauges from mate? like making them shine brightly like that?

i got normal gauges and got some LED bulbs off ebay and put them in i did the same for my brother but with red ones they look ace

Quad LED's 233 T4W...... that's what bulbs you need for the small gauges in the center you might want to pull them out and make sure they look the same though

Quad LED's 501 W5W T10...... and that's what you need for the dials when you look at the old ones they are in a holder it looks like a little top hat just pull out the old bulb and put the LED in remember though a LED had a positive and negative so if they don't work take it out and rotate 180 degrees and put back in ... hope that will help you i will get a picture of my brothers in the dark

i also have white dials instead of black ones so the light shines through better

working progress striped out look +welded the switch panel in and fillerd it the blue on bottem dash rail is what the hole cars going :)

custom consoles 3+3 dash, mini badge on glovebox, stereo under 3 auxillary gauges, red and black

you can buy the letters at auto accessory shops. just buy a M, two I's and an N. you can work out the rest :D
