the best part about the dash is the cost, nothing!!! not a penny, use stuff i had around my garage!
ive started to make some new door panels and rear bin panels, i'm going to paint them too.

How do you all secure your dashbaords to the mini??? (not KA or saxo or anything like that) i am makin a custom dash that will fit in the top and bottom rail but have no CLUE on how to secure it........

cheeers:)

ive welded some lugs onto mine, one in the top centre, on the inside and then three on the bottom, screwed under the rail.
what you making yours from?

I do really like your dash its made a bit like mine. I cnt wait till you have done it what you going to trim it in.

Hey, does anyone have any to-scale templates for a 2 dial dash?? I want to make my own and thought the best way to start off was to have a template to base it on!

Just ignore one of the clock holes though. Never used it but when I was thinking of DIY'ing it myself this was the best one I found.

Just scanned through all 39 pages to look for a picture - not sure if i missed it or if it's not here. Does anyone have a picture of a dashboard fit without the upper rail padding? I've got a custom consoles dashboard and was wondering if it would look good without the padding on the upper rail - i like the ashtrays in the metal for some reason like on old minis, strange style i know lol

Thanks, any more pictures anyone? Preferably with a flat dash fit. I regret having bought my dash now - wanting a center binnacle instead! Oh well i guess it's just something to do in the future >_< lol

Dash from my Mini 2.0 project, kept standard with an added Hinda center console for the gear lever and hand brake with optional electric window buttons. Notice the Monte Carlo doo panel that add. Mighty but simple finishing touch. The concept here was just plain old simplicity in function.

Got it from a Honda Civic/Ballade from the 1993/96 models. Fits snuggly once you remove the coin storage facility. Remember to take the electric window button and handbrake console tahat will fit nicely around the handbrake. We are also tryig other custom dashes for these cars including a shortened version of the BMW MINI dash so any information will be much appreciated.
