Looks really cool. I've been thinking about something like this for a while now. Embed a touch-screen into the dash and all manner of things become possible - sat nav, mp3 collection (no need for a sepearate head unit), rear parking cameras, hands-free phone, bluetooth, web browsers, you name it.

Must admit, I probably wouldn't include the ECU mapping software (re-map while driving, distracting!) although I can see why some would. Might be tempted to see if you could allow switching between "Normal", "Sport" and "Economy" maps, probably via auxilliary buttons - that would be cool.

I see it's running XP (gulp!) - is the screen an all-in-one unit, or is there a box-of-tricks held behind the dash somewhere held in place by a braket?

Hi thanks, the dash was made for me out of rolled sheet metal and trimmed in leather. I designed it myself i can give you the contact for him but i will say it cost some.

It's just touchscreen mounted to a 3 gauge binnacle, theres a laptop under the passenger seat. It's running XP as it's a fairly old laptop, I have windows 7 now which I will trial on it, but honestly, XP does everything you really need in a car!!!

Mapping software is mainly displayed for RPM more than anything, when the map is correct it wont need to be changed. I don't care for economy maps I just want best performance!

The mapping software is what comes with the megajolt kit. The car is still carburettored, HIF44.

Cheers

Tim.

Best pic I have of mine at the moment. Smudger was selling these, but he's now dropped off the face of the earth. So I'm thinking of going and getting a mould took off this one before I go cutting any more holes in it. :)
