These Dash's look great, wish i has some carpentry skills! I'd love one like langers2k blue one above.

Thanks, its not quite finished but almost, looks better from other angles though.

Its not that hard to make really, to see a couple of pics while it was in progress, click here.

Oh right yeah, i checked the thread, looks good with the black glove box cover. Why do you not want to actually fit a glove box?

I don't have anything I would keep in a glove box, it's just as easy to dump stuff in the rear bin behind me. Just seemed like lots more work for no real benefit!

Not too long, no more than a few hours over a couple of days. Just depends if you have a Dad who likes woodworking and you can motivate him to help :(

Still haven't got round to buying the perspex yet, note to self, must go measure the hole and order some!

£2?? Awesome, where from? Ebay?
Been searching the net for weeks now especially ebay to try to find one for cheap, as I suck with the old Hammer and Saw lol.
Starting to consider buying one of the wooden ones off ebay that are done so i then cover it myself.

Nope it was a DIY job on a friday afternoon  . I had everything apart from the material to cover it. Buying the MDF templates is probably the way to go if you want something a bit unique. (and cheap!!!!)

Hi there,
I'm new to the forum and I've just bought myself a Mini cooper sport. I rung up a company called Dash of colour, and the woman is very rude. She said to ring back on tuesday (today) because it was a sunday - even though I just rung custom consoles and there open til 9! Anyway, I rung back today at 7.30pm because I work all day, and I asked to order a dashboard. There was a pause, and she tutted and huffed at me as if it was a big deal. Then she started moaning about having to turn her computer on or something so I just said forget it I'll take my buisness else where and hung up.
SO DON'T USE THEM BECAUSE SHE'S VERY RUDE AND OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T WANT TO TAKE MY MONEY WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER £200 FOR WHAT I WAS ORDERING!

oh dear, it sounds like it's a 'Run from home' business... or something the Husband does but he's gone down the pub.
Arn't those dashes just a flat plank of wood with a paint job? If so, why not just get the template from e-bay and make yor own.
Sorry if I've just upset someone.

To be honest mate, if they're not open sundays then what can you do? I wouldn't take an order on my day off. No offence.
Perhaps you should try emailing them with your ideas and order it via email, that way they'll ring you when they are open. I don't see where you'll get another dashboard like one of theirs.
I'm not trying to be rude, just sounds like you're jumping the gun a little. I'd be patient and get the dash you want rather than go else where and get something you're not really happy with.
I hope that you get it sorted, Good luck mate.

Steve
