Are the window appetures smaller than on a "monkey metal" mini?
Basically, will the standard sized glass fit? Or are we talking perspex or similar to replace it?

I know it goes on a points sysytem of old componentes used. Can you explain the SVA deal to me.
I assume that the car should retain most/all of it's original parts to qualify?
Therefore will it retain the original plate and tax status?
Will it be registered on a Q plate?
Anyone?
try a search...elmo asked this and got a very comprihensive load of answers
Not sure how the non original front subframe/rear subframe / glass, trim etc count as how many points deducted?
If you just need to keep the original engine why not register the donar with the new engine first?

Confusing.
I emailed SVA to get some answers but they have not yet got back to me.

The windows are smaller as 2" have been taken out of the pillars so standard glass wouldnt fit. Perspex would do the job except for the front that has to be glass for road use. That can either be a cut down standard front window or a specially made one thats in the pipeline
The cut glass sounds pricey! Is it?
Also, got a ballpark figure for the shell?

As far as im aware the points system is now no longer used. There is a new system now but the old points system in on the SVA website!
Confusing.
I emailed SVA to get some answers but they have not yet got back to me.
I would appreciate any info when available as I am genuinely interested in one of these shells.
When you present be fully prepared with all the answers you need. If you present a car for reshell be carefull that you have all of the components remaining from the original car that are required.
If not you WILL get sent down the road of requireing SVA and a challenge to the Tax excemption.
