Rust Proofing Exhaust Manifold?

if you are not going to paint it why not wrap it?? helps with the heat and would be aesthetically pleasing too ;)

A manifold will usually crack from vibration/engine rock before it rusts through, would look pretty painted if you wanted to do it though.

Oooh there's a BIIIG thread about why that stuff's a bad idea. Lots of pictures of melted stainless manifolds on that one.

If you are going to paint it, brush it on in layers, its thicker. Sprayed on exhaust manifold paint will last about 2 or 3 months.
Brushed on it might last a year, mabye 2.

A manifold really should be painted it looks alot nicer and when you have to take it off to do repairs etc it comes off easier.
