Linky

I think Autofashion used to do a kit, but I don't believe they are in business anymore.

Didi it work okay?
And wold the A-pillar be strong enough to hold a steel door if it has perspex windows with the aid of a gas strut??

Thanks

It generally isn't, and the struts aren't strong enough either, I'm sure that most the kits available cause the door to sag after a while, then you have problems with it closing properly and water leaking in. From a technical point of view, it isn't a great modification.

No, from a certain view, and a technical view.

I saw that Mini in the flesh and it looked hot :D

Perhaps you could connect your gullwing* doors to a bimetallic strip so that when you fire flames out of your exhaust it heats up and opens the doors :dontgetit: How 'hot' would that be :P

* not really gullwing, as on that Pimlico, which do at least serve a practical purpose :)

Flames? Eh?

I love it when people talk trash about someone else's pride and joy... Makes them look so big and clever...

Just expressing my opinion and aesthetic sense in the same way that the owner of that car has by turning perfectly functional doors into something ostentatious and unnecessary. I'm not saying my opinion is any more valid than theirs, but without any shared critical appreciation where would society be? We'd end up with people's discarded furniture and piles of bricks displayed as art in galleries and anyone with a mind to would be allowed on television to sing or 'perform' regardless of any discernible talent :D
