To be honest it ain't that pretty close up. I try to keep it respectable, but it's more about go than show!! The handling's sorted with poly bushes all round, lowered springs and uprated shocks. I'm just adding the finishing touches to its new engine/gearbox combo which hopefully should give it the cheeky side of 150BHP.

Engine / Gearbox specs (if anyones interested)-
84.6mm pistons (0.6mm o/s)
Gasflowed Volumex head (43.5mm inlets)
Twin 42 DCNFs (36mm chokes) on gasflowed Alquati manifold
Ansa manifold / cheeky straight thru s/s box
Vernier cam wheels on std cams (head/block slimmed)
Delta HF Turbo clutch
Volumex g'box internals (longer 1st gear and final drive)
Cheers,
Nick

That lancia is very different I have never seen one before nice one.!
Most were as rotten as a students fridge (show me a 70's car that wasn't), but quite a lot have now been restored mainly thanks to the efforts of the Monte Hospital (parts supplier / manufacturer). As for numbers, my particular derivative RHD S1 Spider - only about 300 were made of which many have dissolved!!

Very nice! I must admit I don't think I've seen one of those before either. I do like your ethic of it being more go than show though!
Since restoring it we've been to the South of France via the Route Napoleon, then along the coast to do the length of the Pyrenees. All done at a decent pace

Love the Monte Carlo Nick. I used to work with a guy in Bristol that was restoring one, his dad owned a concourse red one too.

Hate to be a Monte nerd but......
It was 'Herbie goes to Monte carlo'. Spooky eh?
The Montcarlo he fancied was in fact the US version called a Lancia Scorpion (Jezel), with an emmision strangled 1800cc engine.
The qualifying session supposedly just outside Paris was in fact at Laguna Seca USA. I reckon Herbie and Jezel went down the Corkscrew quicker than the Texas Tornado (Colin Edwards) on an SP2, very impressive!!
Nerding over, sorry guys

You'll only be wanting a lap in it if I sort those awful brakes!! You're more than welcome though, once I've got my eye in

Don't know if I'm in yet as the 'SOLD OUT' signs just gone up on the website and I'm yet to get my confirmation. I'll be gutted if I miss out now.
