This is the reason (almost) that Mr Juju doesn't like them. He feels vulnerable in such a small car so low to the ground. Incomprehensible really, considering he adores mountain biking and almost killed himself on one 18 months ago on the road (then got himself a bigger chainring to go faster =] ).
Mind you, my Ancestors would prefer to kill me with their bare hands than worry themselves sick if/when I get a motorbike.

There's nowt so queer as folk.

Drive her around a bit more down some nice country lanes & have a picnic or summink. <----- >_< ********. It's winter, isn't it?

Just make sure you drive carefully, then your less likely to have an accident. Fair enough, it is other drivers that are to blame some of the time.

This actually annoys me quite a bit, ask her what she bases this fear on.

I bet she'll say...

"They're small and old" =]

Only suggestions I have are:

Ask if she would be happier if you installed a roll cage.

Look up that thread on here withj pictures of crash damaged Minis and read the stories, the majority of them the cabin isn't affected at all.

Other than that, I guess you have to decide what you love more, your girlfriend, or your Mini?
