Hi thx for your kind comments the dash is a standard carbon fibre effect dash there are quite a few companies about that do them one is called custom consoles i believe but dont quote me on that

Ive had an idea though and i think that i may take the clocks out and replace the grey dial backgound with a set of red ones should look pretty cool

Well its been a busy week!!

First off my GT now has a name and her name is

'Delilah'

And now thanks to the power of ebay Delilah now has some dignity with regards to her behind. And has a nice chrome ass now to prove it!!







What this picture did tell me though was i need to have another look at the exhaust levels as the two tips look well off from each other

and also that Delilah is very dusty and needs a good clean (actually i new this already)

As a bit of a long shot, did you used to be on a different forum about 3 years ago now? Only I recognise the avatar, and i think the guy on there was called Stu too. I can't remember the name, might have called TT or something?

Well I think its about time I started a project thread else the baby will be finished and ill never get around to it.

Introducing a 1979 ‘1275 GT’. Haven’t decided on a name or her yet (think it’s gonna be a her though) so any suggestions would be very helpful. Did consider Mistique, you know that blue woman from the X-men films but have decided against it now.
Any way enough talking here are some pics of the car












Right on to the nitty gritty. A lot of panels have been replaced including both offside and nearside front wings, front panel, offside and nearside front floor pan, rear heal board, rear valance and outer sills.
The colour is Audi Mauritis Blue Pearl and the roof is BMW black metallic (yes I know the enemy )
2 new subframes painted red
Spax adjustable suspension and Hi-Low's
7x13 inch Starmag alloys with 175x50x13 Yokohoma A430 Tyres,centre caps, chrome nuts and locking wheel nuts
Group 5 arches
New steering rack, quick rack with 2.2 turns lock to lock
Quickshift gear
New wiring loom
Carbon fibre dash 3 with 3 extra Tim gauges voltmeter, clock and oil pressure
Quick release bonnet catches and quick release grill
All new window and door seals
New starter motor friend had a new one lying about in his garage so I got it for free!! Yay
Braided hoses all round where applicable

Still to do. The fuel lines needs to be fitted so that I can get the tank back in. Brake lines still need to be fitted and im in the process of refurbing the calipers. There is no interior at all so it a question of start from scratch on that front
