And then? so you are basically copping out. although i expect that reply was to be expected considering your afore replies.quite simply no
im not going to be there for a week or so
looks like a legal document is required after all.
I cant believe you lot at morspeed get a decent nights sleep. Maybe assigning a debt collector might be an idea. Courts are not required unless payments are not met.
an independent debt collection agency would recover any item or money owed before legal action and if they took action morspeed could owe many more thousands.
Im contacting watchdog and the one show as i feel the nature of this (oli) requires someones more immediate attention. i will pass anything i find out onto prawn.
Bear in mind that the police should also be informed prawn as it is deception to take a persons money without the intention of delivering goods or a service as promised even if they are no longer with us.
anyone sticking up for this company over their behaviour on this should be ashamed.
Excellent. Let me know if you require any further documentation/advice as i can use trading standards very easily as i work within a local government authority.

nice! shut your pie hole pie
You still seem to think this is funny dont you? With your witty comments and your smiles at the end of posts?
It isn't.
If may not affect you directly, or even at all, but try to remember that someone has died here, it's a sensitive issue.
Oli's Mum reads these threads almost daily. How do you think she will feel seeing people laughing and joking about this?
Thank you everyone for all your help and support on this, amazingly Wolfy actually first contacted me trying to help, but he has been spoon fed some story from Simon, and now clearly doesn't have the balls to step up and sort this out.
I agree completely with Pie, If I pre warn Simon I will be visiting, he will simply not be there. He seems to be 'away' so regularly when trying to contact him.
imabitnaughtyxx and Jordie I think the watchdog is a great idea. I have been to the CAB this evening, and they have advised me to send an official letter to Morspeed, recorded delivery, giving him 14 days to comply and complete the transaction by delivering the goods in full. I will do this in the morning.
Thanks again for all the help guys.

i have seen the engine, i saw it the friday before last. not broken up. still built.
If that's the case Dan, where is it?
Carol contacted Simon the day after you said he needed confirmation from her. That was ages ago.
None of the stories hold up.

In that case, do you think your rather twisted personality is entirely appropriate in this situation?
Some things you DO NOT make jokes about.

You could have done this in the first place, and not flamed etc in a public forum.
You seem like a switched on guy, take it down the legal path, and hopefully the outcome will be something that we all can be happy with.

I think that maybe this should be left to Nick and Simon to sort out. Wolfy is not a permanent morspeed employee, and he isn't the man at the helm. Please can everyone stop posting irrelevant comments and keep it to Pm's? If everybody is trying to stick their noses in, this situation is not going to get any better. How about we all just cool it for a bit, and allow Nick and morspeed to sort it?so wolfy, is there ANYTHING in hell you can do for these people at some point when you return, or is there no chance.
could for a change we all get a clear answer about all the problems raised?
am I barking up an invisible tree?
by the way nothing mentioned on either topic is meant personally to anyone. just referring to morspeed as a company here not as one man. I would like to think this company could come out of this relatively unscathed, its in the hands of the proprietor.

I agree. I have read both topics and its becoming out of control with the constant bickering.
Prawn good luck in sorting it all out. Hope olis engine arrives safely with you soon.

It was indeed, and it's also the advice of a guy at the CAB too, meaning it's clearly good advice.
Thanks again for everything guys.
Kinjo: I felt it was necessary to post this on a public forum, because not only are other people subject to this treatment in the future, and deserve to be warned, but when Oli died, many people gave very generous contributions towards finishing his Mini, and they all deserve to be told exactly what is going on, and why their contributions appear to have not amounted to anything.
LOTS of work has been carried out on the car, and as we want it to be a surprise, it's at a stage where we don't want to post any more pics until it's in paint and looking it's best.
No money has been wasted. We require only the engine to finish the car.
In the interests of keeping things civil, I am going to back out of this thread for now.
I will post more when I have spoken to Simon. Hopefully tomorow if he actually answers my calls/voicemails/facebook messages/plea on a public forum.
