So how much money is in the 'pot' to get this mini done then?

Where is the engine now?

I'd be there!

What engine do you have and what needs doing to it. The reason i ask is that my local tuner has offered his services to supply some parts or even do the machine work needed on the engine for this project. I know he will be happy to bore and hone the bores if needed. He has also made mention of head work.

I am happy to give his details if and when needed. Rest assured he is a name in the mini world lots of you would have heard of in the past.

WOW!

What a saga!

Fair play for keeping on at this fella, but I cant help but feel that the last 2 years have been wasted for the car! All the help and support shown, it would of been great to see the car standing proud at the shows all be it with a tidy 1275!

Again, think its only right someone stands up to this guy until all the money is returned!

Look forward to the next stage of the build!

Another here to have read this thread start to finish.

I felt it only right to post and first of all say R.I.P. Oli and my respect goes out to his family and friends. I can say nothing that hasn't already been said, but this is a really great thing that you're doing, and the determination is incredible. You've hit some major brick walls and fought your way through them all, so congratulations to you and Oli's family and I wish you every best of luck in completing the project in the near future!

All the best,
Mynamesandy

Just spent nearly 2 hours reading this all i have to say is WOW! this went way beyond a joke ad i dont know how this simon bloke ever sleeps at night. Im heading over to england next year so if anyone has an adress of this guy so i can pay him a visit that would be great.
Nick, What is going on with the motor? Surely you could have chucked in any old 998 with a bit of brightwork to get it going.

Steve,

It's disgraceful that so many people have pulled together as a community to support a family, that have lost someone so dear to there hearts, and yet despite these incredible efforts to finish a legacy, of clearly a top lad, one man stands in the way. This Simon :xxx: clearly has no heart, nor and self respect. After reading this thread, I can't see why anyone would deal with morspeed again they deserve to be out of business. Clearly the UK justice system has not improved either. What use are court hearings if no action is taken after wards. I really feel for all those effected by this. I'm sure justice will eventually be served for Oli's sake, god only knows why such a thoughtful idea for a project should have such a sick and bitter twist. R.I.P Oli, to all those who knew Oli closely I really do hope you get what you deserve and finish this amazing tribute!
