i really hope you get what you deserve out of this and when all this comotion is over you can enjoy an amazing car and more amazingly a tribute to your son and friend (to prawn)

it makes me so angry that there are people out there who could actually do this, i know people would fight to keep money etc but considering the circumstances he clearly has a twisted self centered mind and a cold heart

my thoughts are with you and the family and friends suffering with this heartache

i really hope to see the mini at shows etc in the future and would be happy if there was a book or something to sign with your thoughts and comments, could be even more for you to look back at.

RIP oli

I'v just spen the best part of 1.5 hrs reading this post and i'm touched by the love and dedication that Prawn has shown to Oli.

I don't think i'v ever read about people being treated in such a disgusting manner when they were in full recognition and light of the fact that the build is/was being done in memory of a recently deceased person as a tribute to their life.

It appears to me that Morspeed are no longer trading, which is undoubtedly a good thing.

It has been a long time since the legal proceedings started (and partially finished), but there have been no updates regarding the completion of the car or the repayment of the money for the engine.

ANY NEWS??

We received a payment of £1 from simon ( yes, ONE UK pound) which was apparently a test payment as he was 'unsure how the system worked'

Since then nothing at all, balifs have been round twice apparently, yet each time he claims to own nothing in the premesis. I havnt spoken to carol for a while, so I'll call her soon and find out the latest.

The car itself and all the bits are safely hidden away in secure dry storage, waiting for an engine so we can restart the project and get it finished!

I've just read through all of this as most people have and I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and it's fantastic to see such a fitting tribute to who I'm sure was a fantastic person. If you're still looking for donations I'd be more than happy to contribute. I really hope morspeed give you back what is yours and you can crack on with the project asap! That guy needs to sort himself out!
I wish I could help out more here and I really can't wait to see the finished product, no matter how long it takes!
Best wishes and big respect to you and Olis family! RIP Oli! Sorry I never got a chance to meet you.

Did anything ever come of this?? :(

As for Morspeed, I have never actually heard a decent word about them.

I have, and will always, use Slark. They are by far THE best a-series tuner in the country.

This is the saddest thread I have ever read. I cant even imagine the pain you and the family have gone through. After such a tragic death, for you to be forced to go through all of this is just horrible.

My best wishes and deepest thoughts go out to you and Carol, I hope things only get better from here. You deserver some good luck, and it would be such a nice tribute to Olly for the mini to get completed.

I never knew Olly but no one deserves that. If there is absolutely anything I can do to help with this please do let me know.

Good luck with getting the money back, I cant wait to see the mini up and running. Im sure you will get there in the end.

Hello folks, still no amazing news I'm afraid!

Still trying to get the Money out of Morspeed, even though the ruling and CCJ has been made, it seems impossible to get any money from him, even teh debt collectors are struggling, as he claims to own nothing worth taking!

Still, I've heard that Morspeed will be back in business in some way soon, and as they were never a LTD company Simon is liable for all debts incurred.

All the metal work has been done on the shell, it just needs prepping for paint. It's currently in storage waiting for a resolve on the engine situ before we paint it in risk damaging the finish whilst waiting to sort the engine issues!

I've asked Mintec for some pics, but I think they're MEGA busy these days, and their storage unit is a fair way from their main building, so not somewhere they go often.

CHeers for keeping interest guys, when this does get going, it's going to be awesome!
