First heard about this in one of the mini mags and for something like that to happen must be soul destroying. Reading the rest of the posts on here dragging the whole event out with the engine makes it sound even more heart-breaking, I'm sure that many people including myself would be ready to give in at this point. However, you've continued to move the project forward and keep going and i'm sure the end result will be brilliant.
Looking forward to seeing this car at the shows
My hat off to Prawn and Oli's family, no-one should have to go through what you've had to go through
I'd be happy to help, just give me a shout if there's anything I can do

This must be like a living nightmare. Hows the court action going any news?
Have not seen any pic yet of the mini will look on the other thread but am sure its going to be stunning.
Morspeed, Simon and to a lesser degree Wolfie how can you put anyone through this. Its bad enough waiting so long for an engine that Wolfie says he had seen a long time ago but for it to turn up and be unsafe really is below the belt.
I often judge a company not on the product, persay as a product should be of a decent standard, but on how they deal with problems, questions and complaints. If there is ever anything wrongs you can rescue the situation easily by good customer service. People will accept things dont go accourding to plan, accidents happen, things go missing just tell them at the time.
Anyway fingers crossed Olis mum now has her money and is in the process of buying another.
Is there not an engine company on here who could build supply and install such an engine? Not saying for nothing but maybe at cost. Not only would it help get the project finished but the positive responce you would get would definatly improve your reputation with mini owners all over the country.
Awaiting an update

Matt/Kam, I had no idea you guys had done that whilst out in germini, what a nice idea. which bar was that in? hopefully next year Oli's mum will be comming with us in the Mini, so it'd be awesome to take her and show her that people still care.
As we speak I'm in the car with Oli's family, currently sat on the A34 on the way to Leicester Court (isn't mobile broadband awesome?)
I shall of course be updating you all on the outcome of todays events later on when all is done and said, and hopefully, justice has prevailled!
