Ive been away for a while and have just come online to check a few things. I am interested in Oli's mini as I did meet him and I think that it is a really nice idea in his memory.

It is upsetting about the engine and how some people only seem to think of themselves. I hope it is resolved soon.

As for Wolfy I would like you to just take a moment and re-read you posts. This thread is about someone who has saddly died and people coming together to do something special. I realise you have connections with morspeed but to be honest some of the "sarcastic" comments made are outside basic rules of human communication. There is a time and a place.

My thoughts are with the family and friends on Oli.

lets all just remember why we are even on this topic, because a top lad and mini enthusiast lost his life, and IN HIS MEMORY , WE are all trying to pull together to finish his pride and joy,so to that end, juvinile witty rants DO NOT HELP WHATSOEVER,simon, just make life easy fella and give the people what they paid for,no exuse after exuse,if you cant meet deadlines then at least inform them.rant over!

Right everybody lets leave this topic alone now.

As Prawn has said he is going to send a formal letter to Morspeed via recorded delivery asking for delivery of the engine within two weeks.

So please lets wait now and see if Prawn recieves any response from Morspeed.

So no more flaming, no more bickering nothing can be done now for two weeks.

 now for 2 weeks i suggest after which Prawn can update us.

Prawn, i know it might cost a little bit of money. But I would have that letter written by a solicitor acting on your behalf. This type of formal letter stands up better if this does go as far as the courts.

I really hope it doesnt, but its allready gone too far.

I don't think there's quite any need to involve solicitors yet.

Perhaps Simon could show a little more tact and diplomacy but he is right in pointing out that he should only be dealing with the customer, or sadly in this case, the executor of their estate. A letter from Oli's mum, as his next of kin, or whoever else has executive authority nominating Prawn as their representative to deal with Morspeed should be all that is required. Then everyone can make every effort do the right thing in the spirit of the nice guy this project commemorates.

It's very sad things have got so acrimonious, it's in danger of spoiling a worthy tribute that could reflect well on everyone involved.

That is good news then. I hope this means you and everyone involved in putting Oli's mini on the road can carry on this brilliant Tribute to him.

Absolutely, that is what we are aiming for, that is all we have wanted to do. Once finished it will be there for everyone to see and we can, as planned take it to as many shows as possible, for as long a possible. It is and always will be Oli's mini.

I do really respect you and feel sorry that you have had to come onto this forum and see some of the things that have been said. It would be nice if one of the admin team could removed the posts that now are no longer needed and this go back to what it was first set up for, to remember a great person and put his mini on the road in his memory.

totally agree, this thread has been butchered by stirrers and 'heresay' and people putting fuel on the fire that have nothing to do with the business and build of the car.

Cant wait to see the final product after all this hype, i am sure it will be truely awsome.

Bless.

been reading the whole thread and firstly my respects go out to Oli's family in such a hard situation, Fair play to Oli's family and prawn for making all the events known on the forum, it takes a lot of guts to voice your opinion, Morspeed and simon may have had problems and reasons for not sending out this engine, But it is Polite to be honest with people. It only takes a second to place a call, even if it is to say sorry but some parts have been removed and we did not notice, we will endever to keep you informed of progress. I really do hope this mini get's finished and i do find it very heart warming knowing that there are people in clubs that are willing to pull together. I hope all goes well today the engine is safe and you all have a safe journey.

Best regard's Matt
