mine is a 1275 i have had 120mph out of it thats all it has on the clock might go faster i dont know as it goes off the clock think mine dose 0-60 in about 6 seconds has a stage 2 on tho will do 25 in 1st 50 in 2nd 80 in 3rd then 4th goes off the clock

Hey don't want to hijack this thread, but doesn anyone know how much off a difference there'd be in acceleration if i swapped my 3.44 diff to a (3.22?

Marginal I'd guess.Slight reduction. Your speedo would then read faster than you're actually travelling so less speeding fines Unlike mine when changed from 3.1 to 3.4 it reads 20% slower than I'm going,60mph shown=72actual.20% out. It was spot on before oops sorry officer.

Holy thread excavation batman. 6 seconds though? you'd need a very light car or 140bhp for that. My 998 turbo does it in around 8.5 with 120bhp and 800kgs.

Reckon he went from a 3.4 to a 2.9 and its 25% out and 60 is nearer 45!!!! If not that car's worth a fortune.

Mine is a 1380 and its well set up...0-60...12 secs...top speed 110mph..sorry but I just dont believe some of the quoted timws for 998's And that 1275 at 6 sec's....Hmmmmm....Im not saying that people are fibbing....but maybe the method of timing is not very acurate...

Timing on the speedo..with gear ratio swapped around..different wheels..how can you trust them without GPS?
Mine at 30 GPS- speedo says 25..good for getting a fine too..

haha my mini is 110bhp and running on a stage 2 remap tuned striped out with just 2 seats no carpet also fitted a 6 point roll cage made for her soon as i bought the car i did a rebuild and went to minisport and had it tuned to its best the jets have been drilled had lots of things done and if you cant read i said ABOUT 6 seconds some where around there could be 7 i dont really know!

6 sec 0-60 stage 2 have you any idea waht its like in a mini 0-60 in 6 sec
my race mini had 110 bhp at the wheels and was o-60 in about 6 sec or bit less
and reved to 8000

a standard mini cooper s mk 1 was 10.8 sec

and you BATMAN bhp doesn't mean every thing its how much torque their is to you know.

and you BATMAN bhp doesn't mean every thing its how much torque their is to you know. It seems strange that you have less power than me (and torque at a guess, I don't see how you could have more unless you engine makes 110 at 6krpm, which would mean a VE of over 100% which is not likely) but your car is 2 .5 seconds quicker to 60? quicker than my 250bhp subaru infact!

Got ant 1/4 mile tickets? you can derrive a rough 0-60 from the 1/8th time and speed.

Indeed, and I bet my 998 turbo has a load more than any 1275 na.

Well if your 1275 does 0-60 in 6 or 7 seconds then I dont really know why I bothered spending £3k+ on my 1380...seems ive been wasting my time and money...So if you stripped your car out and rebored it to 1380 do you think you could break th 4 sec barrier?

My 998 isn't completely standard, I drilled a hole in the airbox so it now does 0-60 in about 3.4 seconds, I haven't painted it red yet, but when I do it'll probably shave a second or 2 off
