ill calculate this rougly. a well tuned 998 kicks about about 50ish at the wheels. so

its basicly car weight. of about 650kg times by 90 percent of the hp at the wheels

so it should be around 14.4 but thats a perfect time so possible a second on top of that for mistakes ect.

oh and add about 1.5 seconds because its a front wheel drive. so about 15-16 seconds.

i know this is well old But my 998cc with a stage 1 kit (not rolling roaded) does 0 to 60 in 12secs (with 2 men passengers). Not bad in my opinion.

Mine did a TRUE 60 in about 10 secs, with 10's and a 3.44 final drive. Would be lower if i ever bothered with a rolling road.

Isnt the mini designer a City E?

Mine is 14months, 1week, 4 days, 7 hours, 13 seconds and counting.... (ok, the 14months it true, i made the rest up)

Like the sticker in my back window says, 0-60... eventually!

Depends on how much petrol i have in the tank :teehee:

....no, seriously :-

I've hit 60 in about 17, and on some occasions 20. 2nd gear is messed up so i don't like shifting up (or down!) aggressively.

Getting a Stage 1 kit and having it rolling roaded by Christmas, so here's hoping that my 0-60 plummets ;)

998 cc, reworked head with standard size valves, 8.75:1 compression instead of 8.3, LCB & Maniflow single box 1.75" system, MG Metro inlet & K&N filter in standard housing. 0-60 15.9 secs doesn't sound all that impressive, but I didn't remove everything from the car that isn't standard, & a 998 Cooper in the 60's had a 0-60 time of 16.4 secs, so I'm ok with that.
