Problem Fitting Front Smootha Ride Kit

I've found a garage that does a free MOT retest if it fails, for £50, which is the average price around these parts. I've just received my Mini Spares order this morning, so I'm going to be replacing worn bushes etc and running through MOT checks this weekend. It will probably fail first go, but I'll then have a list of what I need to fix, and 7 days in which to fix it.
I doubt the suspension will settle in another 7 days so I will have to figure out how to correct the geometry if it fails on that. It's probably just a case of altering the tiebars and winding in/out the balljoints right?

Your ball-joints won't need adjusting so long as their in good shape and well greased. No the main thing that will need resetting is the tracking and that will need doing every time the ride height is altered.
I believe adjustable tie-bars are probably best left at the standard length unless negative bottom arms are fitted too?

The car is still driving great but the ride height hasn't moved much as can be seen in this photo:

Here's the write up:

just read your little write up (very good) and I would make just one comment. i found it much easier with the bonnet removed from the car. i know some people dont like to disturb the bonnet as it takes a bit of tweaking to get it back in the right place, but i found it was worth the hassle to get it out the way

keep the feedback coming mate

I've had mine fitted for almost a month, it settled loads in the first week but now it appears to have stopped! Will it still keep settling, I though by now I'd have to raise the ride height to stop the wheels from rubbing on the arches.
yes, mine definitely settled after around two months and i did have to raise it a bit

Cheers. I know what you mean about the bonnet. I have a few cuts in my head from hitting the damn thing when working under it. You probably can't see it in the photo, but it's not 100% at the moment since fitting the internal release mechanism. It sits a bit lower against the wings than it was before so it probably needs re-setting.
I also find that I'm forever taking the grill off when working on the Mini. I'm starting to wear out the screw holes! I should probably get a quick release grill.
I'll post another update if there's a change in the ride height.
