riiiighties then. Tapped the flywheel drilling out to helicoil it, using M10x 1.50 bolts supplied in the puller kit
Posted Image
and it worked fine!
however i was greeted by....this
Posted Image
then, i was greeted by this!
Posted Image
and.... :) greeted by this
Posted Image

lol also :P altho i knew the gearbox was still full of oil i decided to split the box from the transfer anyway and it went all over the gravle :) shaaaame!

oil pump...now now now...my suspected cause of low oil pressure....may well be confirmed
Posted Image
nicly pitted and scored....on all three parts of the pump

so! all those problems and im not even into the engine yet! laaame!

want to see what a short period of running without oil does??

here... number 1 piston big end shell
Posted Image
bummed eh? however the bearing itself looks ok
Posted Image

centre main bearing shell looks cr*p also (not check the 2 outside ones yet but i expect much the same)
Posted Image
again the bearing looks fine
Posted Image

so...im going to get simon at morspeed to look at the crank, check if theres anything i can do to repair it
the bit im annoyed about the most tho... my gearbox, the input shaft hes excess play in the bearings :w00t: so hopfully ill get Mr guessworks to take a peek at that and see whats doable with it

yay, its all apart now :ermm: the fanbelt pully bolt was a complete pain in the arse!!!! and then the timing chain bolt was annoying also but got there in the end...so hey ho!

just meh...found few things...one utterly buggered cam bearing
Posted Image

apart from the tail the crank looks mostly alright! so makes it a shame really
Posted Image

there we go anyway! time to clean them up tomorrow at work, then if im able to take the gearbox to guessworks to take a peek at the input shaft movment

not cool!! :P taken the box to guessworks...hes just phoned me up talking about the gearbox as hes already started taking it apart, my diff's missing 2 teeth the diff pin is eer...about 75% through! 1 more hard corner and it would have snapped and done yet more damage

hes also saying how hes having trouble taking the shaft out...due to possibly being bent...how the FU*K can you bend a jack knight shaft! the person who built this gearbox is completly retarded and now i have to pay to correct it all

the double roller bearing is moving, possibly because ether the bearings cracked/damaged or the gearbox has a hairline crack. The casing also damage at the idle drop gear...possible fixable by just filing down the face and re-shim larger

im so pished!!!

all my parts have gone to southam mini and metro centre to be machined

the blocks getting new cam bearings fitted
check crank for condition (supplied kindy by alex cross)
supply new competition shell bearings for said crank at size required
supply new piston rings for my +60's
hone block
balance assembly inc' pully, crank, clutch and fly assembly + other bits n bobs lol

alex is also supplying me wiiiiith a transfer case and new drop gears. Had to get new drops as all were damaged in different ways primary gear's bush had shifted and thus damaged, laygear was rubbing on gearbox and final gear on transfer case
