Hmm your not fixing your cage like you showed last update? err can't think of much else, turrets maybe?

And im not convinced f/g doors are much if any lighter, have a look at whats left of mine, you can hang it on your little finger and i haven't even drilled any holes yet. Add some alloy skins and it will be plenty light enough. Oh and f/g door look **** because they are never a good fit!

George. :)

I will be fixing my cage, but ill need to borrow the porta-power from work to push it back. I think ill also request to use a friends welder, its more powerful than these little hobby welders and i certainly want the cage welded nicely.

Still not convinced about the doors, altho ally skin's might be an option
Iv picked up a friends FG doors before and they felt lighter in anycase, plus remember this cars been bashed about before, so in anycase the pannels are never going to look 100% and ill be able to fettle them to the shell (he hopes)

turrets are being considered but more on that soon :) Im going to get it blasted in anycase... so going to chop MORE out :P cage is heavy! needs offsetting

Well i sound like a broken record, but it really is just going to come down to mahoneys.
I was going to say i havent really got masses to do, but compairing to some peoples projects on here its quite alot  got a few ideas including custom steering column but will see how it pans out, not 100% sure yet, it was never bad enough to need changing where it was possisioned before, actualy rather comfortable... guess i shouldnt just change things for the sake of it otherwise ill never get it finished
Still going to use my rustolium as i have it. but i think as the cars going down to bare outters it would be silly to go down the rollering route, the underside will be rollered though, that way if it wears in the future ill have some spare in the tin to re-cover and neaten up

who knows when it will be done really! just need some inspiration at times, iv been fine today taking things off and such but the body work is so labourious i only go out for a short while it seems, the idea of getting it ready for blasting has been a bit of a push today. Seen yours is a fair while off too, especialy with the rusty back!

(rambling over!)

Yeah i know the deal for sure, i have saved myself quite a fair bit of money for the project by not running a car the last year. And i always go through other peoples projects, its always good for inspiration and ideas.

And i was considering doing a custom steering column too, until i saw the price of UJ's and i decided to save that for a rainy day haha!

And i could have been done my now, but me being a perfectionist, and that i want to do all the body work and custom bits too, means its taking much longer, but i know it will be worth it in the end. It sounds like your much the same. :)

And yes i really can't wait to get rid of the last of the rust, thats all thats left on the rear of the boot floor. I just need to repair the rear and chop the rest out for the fibreglass floor.

Right. Iv been buying stuff, which is what i wasnt letting onto the other day... it was an ebay thing and didnt want to go advertising it about for obvious reasons.
Iv won myself a mini spares alloy beam which has been sold out for months yay!
iv also got coming KAD trailing arms, just been re-ferbed with larger diam' pins for use with coilovers
It also comes with a mini spares rear ARB which is designed to be used with the beam.
all the bracketry inc camber arrangment
pair of turrets for the arches and a set of coilovers. Iv already for a set of protec shocks so ill be selling one set soon-ish will check which is going to be more suitable for my need when it all gets here.

Car front... im lazy and didnt do anything today
