The outer races are matched to the bearing.

Thats a really good point! yeah, you'll have to take the outer race off the old housing and put it into the new case.

I got the new housing on, checked the shims and supprisingly it seemed alright without modifying, end float checked out to be around 0.15 - 0.13 mm

not completly happy with the engine though, will have to see how it goes tho as i cant afford to bugger around with bits and bobs now...im sure it will be fine though

My wurring noise it still there too  its not the altrnator or water pump either as i took the belt off to check and it still persisted...gashtacular! does indeed sound clutch side from what i can hear over drop gear clattering and general engine noise lol.
Its engine speed related rather than gearbox/road speed. Dont really hear much at idle just either when driving or blipping the throttle a tad

All the gears looked fine, didnt even touch them when i took the engine apart and there wasnt a noise from there before.
could be the release bearing,it did get a bit of de-greaser on itself when i was cleaning the housing but not alot and there sealed anyway, i assumed under static reving with the clutch not depressed it wont be resting on the diaphragm so it shouldnt be spinning anyway...still though could be my adjustment again and cant hurt to have a fiddle and look/listen

Combes been and gone now, ill have a video to put up later on... bit of onboard footage
I had a really good day though, considering i hadnt really had much testing of the car since the engine build i cant really complain. I had a couple of problems but hey, to be expected really...most of which will be through fault of my own.
Main problem being the clutch end oil seal, i believe it to be leaking a touch because while it was alright driving down i had quite a bit of slippage while driving round, think a combination of heat and just a little bit of oil just enough to let it go, doubt the spec is too low for the engine too ( grey diphragm and 4 finger 190mm(i think) paddle plate)

miiiight have had a little bit of a spin in the video when i get it up too haha, coming round the esses turned in a bit sharp and upset the balance a bit too much, snatched and flicked over after 2nd half of the turn, complete counter steer whacked it down through 2nd and 1st and within seconds i was off without too much hassle nor too much lost time.

I kinda forgot the centre exhaust clamp/hanger and when driving home it, i think is on the verg of falling off

Also this year i didnt have so much inner wheel spin dispite nothing really changing with the suspension spec, which is good...i found the car to be a tad bouncy through the corner, maybe its just me not being smooth with the steering ;)
Next year will be better though :mrcool:

also stole from bud666 with thanks!

Yeah that yellow one went flying past at first but then started slowing down, was smoking a little bit too. Good effort to you, i'd love to do a trackday one day.
